“News”
I think they need to redefine the term
.
Both Local & International 'news' is so heavily influenced by very powerful people.
So much so that it sickens me.
What happened in the lives of these powerful individuals to make them act with such narcissism? They still eat, sleep & shit like the rest of us dont't they so what makes them so damn special?
Ahh yes, but of course!
Money.
Money is power. Power is hungry.
I'm sorry, correct me if I am wrong, but what gives ANYONE the right to direct or pervert what information is released to the general public? Should we not know about it if it pertains to or effects our lives, our health - our planet!
Remember a few older posts of mine?
Check here and here if you haven’t seen them. Even if you have seen them.. who cares, read again (if you can handle it!)
Having previously dealt with the media myself, I am more than aware of the content of media alerts that are sent out, and then what actually gets into print or televised.
There is a VAST difference between them I assure you – and that was only small time news if you compare it to the big picture.
I understand that the opinions of the editors (or directors) will always come into play, but the truth is, they are held by the goolies in an incredibly tight grasp by the powers that be.
If any of the large broadcasters were to use independent news sources, we, the plebs as they view us, might actually discover some of what is really going on in our world.
They simply will not allow that to happen.
The prevarication will continue despite our objections.
I believe internet access has enabled many of us to nibble at the edge of truth. It has provided us with a medium to poke & prod the drivel labeled as ‘news’ that is force fed to us. It has allowed us to communicate with other like minded beings who are sick of the inconstant lies, the conspiracies & the blatant cover ups that occur way too frequently. In reality, even those that dig around for the truth would only know a quarter of it – quite possibly not even that percentage.
At the same time, don't be fooled into thinking that we are not being monitored whilst doing this.
Without meaning to sound paranoid….You simply cannot be too paranoid.
Hang on, reality check. Think about this a minute. Imagine the consequences of being told the truth about everything.
Could we really handle it?
Could we?
Maybe just a little truth?
I think we are intelligent enough, mature enough and ready to try something new like the TRUTH don’t you?
Hey, here’s an idea…. Let’s try it !
C’mon, throw us a bone eh?
No, not YET...

See, I have quite a similar view on the media and their b.s. attitude, as far as feeding us, mere mortals, bits and pieces of information, is concerned.
But on the other hand, reading your post made me cry outloud "Where's my copy of the Catcher in the rye?" several times.
"Without meaning to sound paranoid….You simply cannot be too paranoid. <<< I see it a bit differently - being suspicious, keeping an eye on the actions of the big and powerful of this world can be good, but you (not you personally) MUSTN'T be too paranoid, or eventually you may become the boy who cried wolf.
The above being said and having introduced a lot of confusion to the topic I'd only want to add two more comments:
1° I do think 90% of the world's population wants to be and likes being mushrooms: live in dark and be fed shite.
2° Thinking isn't illegal, but NOT thinking should be.
"Without meaning to sound paranoid….You simply cannot be too paranoid."
That was meant in reference to internet traffic & conversations.
"At the same time, don't be fooled into thinking that we are not being monitored whilst doing this."
You had better believe there is monitoring going on.
1° I do think 90% of the world's population wants to be and likes being mushrooms: live in dark and be fed shite.
SADLY THAT IS TRUE.. VERY TRUE
2° Thinking isn't illegal, but NOT thinking should be
SADLY THAT IS TRUE.. VERY TRUE ! LOL
:D

Eh? I dont get it.. explain youself man ! ..lol
The "Catcher..." bit is a reference to the movie with your home boy Mel Gibson: "The conspiracy theory", in which the main character played by Mel himself, believed there was a government plot on something I can't remember now. In the movie Mel's character had been brain washed and his memory was cancelled, as he was aware of some of the government's illegal actions.
When they cancelled his memory they "installed" a safety trigger in his head, for cases when he would start remembering things from the past. The trigger was supposed to drag his attention away from the actual problem. In fact in difficult moments he needed to lay his hands on a copy of "The catcher...".
Ahhhhsooooooo
Now it makes sense..lol
That story sounded good.. wanna type a more detailed version?
Bedtime story maybe?
lol
Have a great day
Bedtime story, aye?
I don't think you could handle what I would tell you ;)
And don't you try to trick me into telling you a story by saying:
oh yea? oh yea? why don't you show me what you got boyo, huh?
:D
Mwah
Completely agree with what you say. Sad part is - how do the "news folk" view their responsibility in today's society? When TV has almost monopolized the media industry, we need, perhaps, as many news sources as we can. The Simpsons episode - Season 15 Episode 22 would be a good cue? The one where every one in town starts their own "Herald" or "Times" or "Bugle".
Is that what blogs are about?
HUH this word so hard for undersand that...oh well
"let It Be"
chees mawwww
blerch seriousness, the soup was betterer
;oP
